Wow! That’s all I can say right now. When I said goodbye to my classes on Thursday March 12th, I had no idea that I would not see them again until possibly May and I am not prepared for that. I still thought I had 3 months with them and just like that, I’m down to maybe one:( But we will get through this. And it made going through the pictures for this post all the more special. So without further ado, this is what we did during the first two weeks of March.
For the first week of March, I had the lids in the sensory bin (notice the pattern a little boy did?). But by the second week, the coronovirus had become more of a concern, so I was debating what I could do in the sensory bin. I decided that for a couple of days I would put soapy water in and let them wash the toys. And they had a blast! Then for the last day of the week, I had soap dispensers that I filled with colored water. Most of them still had a little soap in them so the water ended up sudsy. This not only helped keep hands clean, but it worked small motor skills as they pumped the water out and then filled the soap bottles up again. I didn’t get a good picture, but by the end, the water was purple. So much fun!
Well, that’s it until May (hopefully). But I am wanting to get some videos up of me sharing some of my favorite books that I won’t get to share in person, and maybe doing some circle times to try to keep connected with everyone. Until then, hang in there and have fun with your kids. This too will pass. Stay safe and healthy.
