Dinosaurs and Friends

The last week of January we talked about dinosaurs. We learned some big words, like extinct and paleontologist. In fact, we were paleontologist digging up some dino bones 🙂 We also drew, painted and created dinosaurs (or whatever we wanted to, there were some great modern art pictures created)

Then the first week of February we talked about friends and had our SNOW day. The very best way to teach preschoolers about friends is to let them play! Then as conflicts and problems arise, we can talk about how to resolve them and how we can be good friends. This can include painting together and playing in the sensory table.  You would be surprised how many conflict resolutions can happen over sand and a heart bucket 🙂
